I can't believe it's less than a week before we leave Munich for Nashville. There is so very, very much to be done, but 95% of the work must be done when the move is happening. So we're in a bit of a limbo right now. Selling this and that, making a couple piles of things we know we'll want to pack, since most all of our stuff will be missing in action for 8 weeks while it's on a boat from Germany to the old US of A. It was a gorgeous and sunny day today - which is a tad rare - and so Edie and I rallied our energies and headed downtown to tourist central to say goodbye, amid massive crowds, so some of the most historic, impressive, but also familiar spots. We took extra time in the Viktualienmarkt for Edie to walk around and for me to get some of the photos I'd meant to take ages ago. And of course, what's more vintage German than Starbucks? Yeah. Not so much. But it's certainly been a constant companion and guilty pleasure of mine during our stay here. And the cold drink cups are really fun for Edie to steal from me and later make great sand toys!
From the looks of your pictures, you made a good choice on how to spend the day. Good-byes are bitter and sweet. We are thinking of you two and wishing you many new adventures in your next stop.
