Edie and I have a lot of traditions. But because I am her mom, traditions come and go a little faster than average. This week, we've taken to morning strolls. Without the dogs in the house, we don't have to worry about going far. And since Will accidentally took the garage keys with him to Montreal, thereby locking up the big stroller, sand toys, and trike, our mobility options are more limited. So, I've been dragging her car-cart down our stairs to let Edie stretch her legs out doors. When she's tired, she signs for "all done," and then sits in the front of the car with her stuffed animal and water cup, and I push her the rest of the way.
Edie looks pleased with herself and her walking freedom. She looks like a little house on the prairie girl. This a a wonderful tradition even if it's short-lived. Keep on walking.
ReplyDeleteIs that a teddy in the front seat?? How cute! What a great sturdy cart!
ReplyDeleteStuffed dog, named, I suppose, Woof Woof. Yes, the cart is great. A fancy German toy I picked up for a great price at a flea market (which here are like mass yard sales). She loves that thing!
