14 months: I ain't afraid of no ducks.

Well, I missed a 13 month update, and the 14 month one is two weeks late. I think after one year, bimonthly seems sufficient anyhow.

Edie's love, and unnatural lack of fear, of all animals is in full swing. Ducks and geese are a favorite, but she tries to pet and hug them, even when they hiss, which leads to some unappreciated parental disruption. She's still working on the walking. Edie is a cautious kid who can crawl fast and values her independence. So she seems to have little interest in trying to walk when it's dangerous and she can get along just fine on the ground, thankyouverymuch. Talking is her main occupation. Her current vocab list: this, apple, quack, book, hi, banana, soft, mama, dada, bath, ball, woof, dog, keys, Billy, Sugar, baby, kiss, juice, shoe, up, hot, buh-bye, shirt, no, hat, teeth, wow, and boom. She signs for "all done," milk, more, and food.

I hope to add traveling to her likes, since we're going to Iceland and Greece in the coming months!

  1. Rakel, she is doing remarkable well with language. At this age I remember mamma, nen (that meant Jens) and UP from you. Careful is a good trait.

  2. Look at that smile she gives you. What a good moment in her little life.
