Taste of Spring

Due to some glorious weather anomaly, thanks to our proximity to the Italian Alps apparently, we've had a week of temps in the high 40s to low 50s. For February in Bavaria, that's practically tropical. To celebrate, Edie and I took to the cement porch for a few minutes today to test out some street chalk a friend gave her as a birthday gift.

  1. She's already an artist. That's quite a flower, Miss Edie. In the first picture, she is getting ready to touch that tarp ever so carefully. Thanks for the post. She looks so cozy and BIG.

  2. Spring? If you're trying to make me jealous of the high temperature in your country, you're succeeding.

Is Edie trying to walk yet?

  3. Edie doesn't do anything "ever so gently" but that is a nice way to see it :)

And cousin, I hope my gratitude for this weather is clear, lest the Goddesses take it away from me prematurely :) She's not trying to walk, but she's standing and almost cruising along furniture. She crawls fast, finally, so that plus trying to talk are keeping her quite happy.

  4. I am happy for you that she's not running yet, as that takes childminding to another level, the "where did she go?" period... :)

  5. This reminds me of her Aunt Andrea who starting at age four decided to draw flowers all over her walls. Since I wouldn't allow her to get out of bed at five in the morning, she'd create art.
