Edie and Andrea Rae finally met last week. It was so fun to have the girls get together. They are only about 14 months apart, and though that is a lot right now, they still had tons of fun together. Edie tried to feed Andrea from every sippy cup in the house, and Andrea cheered and chattered whenever her cousin was around. We're going to be racking up the Southwest miles to keep up these visits!

Edie and Doc
Edie and I went to Denver to visit my sister and her family last week. We had a great time! But there weren't just people to see. There was a dog. I am an admitted recovered dog-addict, and am frequently pretty unimpressed with the creatures these days as I live in a neighborhood where dogs out number humans at least 3:1. But Doc and Edie's bond deserved its own post. These two were absolutely in love, and Doc was the most playful, gentle, and happy companion she's ever had the pleasure to encounter. Whereas at home, our wimpy poodles run from Edie's love, Doc could handle anything. She ran at him at full speed, screaming "DOOOOOOC!!!", with clenched teeth and flailing hands, and Doc would wag his tail, roll over, and show his belly. Now that's a Good Dog (Billy and Sugar, those darting glances are for you).

Bad Storm
You may have seen on the news a few days back that Nashville was besieged upon by tornadoes last week. Complete with 80 degree weather, blue then black skies, and even two hail storms. It was freaky weather to say the least. At one point, it was intense enough in our area that I decided to hunker down, so I explained that we were going to sit in mama's closet during the Bad Storm. It wasn't too rough, really. We ate snacks, drank smoothies, and played games. Edie did ask me with very wide eyes whether Bad Storm would take her cookies. Happily, I could promise that this wouldn't happen. It passed not long after, and we were back to occupying the whole house by dinner.
More Zoo!
We became Zoo members, and even registered for some toddler classes starting next month, so we are planning on a season of animal encounters. Here are a couple pics of E the day before I took the bar. I decided that 70 degree weather + a migraine meant I wasn't supposed to study but instead take lots of deep breaths and have some family fun time.
24 weeks!
I'm actually at about 26 weeks right now, but these were taken awhile back. Feeling pretty good, save for the never-ending sinus infection. Tummy baby is happy and healthy, and so is his/her big sis.
