A new way to explore the world. Edie is loving her tricycle ( it's actually got 4 wheels; meant to be a pre-bicycle, but for all intents and purposes, it's a trike to us). And we love seeing her in that teddy bear helmet!
Dad has been away part of this week on a business trip. The dogs have been gone too, which is nice since the weather has been lousy here lately. So, Edie and I have had lots and lots of time to hunker down inside, play with toys, give each other many kisses, read hundreds of books, and otherwise have fun. Tiring fun, but that's a given.
Here's Edie enjoying the end of her Thursday with a big dinner.
Our little comedian. Enjoy pics of her SURPRISE face, made extra funny by the fact that she doesn't involve her eyes in the expression. It's a mouth only deal. And then there's the new "I don't know" arms, which she does a lot when she's having conversations with herself or her dolls.
Edie is very interested in learning how to dress herself these days, especially socks, scarves, and hats. So I've cobbled together some of my accessories - - my scant nightlife doesn't miss them anyhow - - to make a bag of dress up clothes. Here we are enjoying the fruits of our adornments.
Edie and I took advantage of Munich's newest Toys R Us this afternoon - - - accessible by transit! hooray - - - and played with lots of toys. This cart, coupled with the helpful traction of wall to wall carpeting, was a favorite.
For those of you not on Facebook, here are a few of the many wonderful pictures from the professional photoshoot we had to commemorate Edie's first birthday. She was a great sport about being followed around by a man with a camera!
